Coronavius has been a major problem throughout Europe and the rest of the world for the last few months as here in Tenerife. The shutdown came quickly after a hotel in the tourist area of Costa Adeje near Playa de Las Americas. and Los Cristianos was found to have the virus in the hotel. The hotel was closed and the hotel guests were put in to isolation.

Apartments, holiday homes, villas, as well as hotels were all booked for the summer season. With the lock down coming thick and fast this did not leave time for anyone to prepare. Holidaymakers left in there droves and new tourists could not arrive, this caused a major problem as owners of Tenerife properties did not have time to shut off the water and electric supplies making their property safe.

Main causes for boilers to blow here in south Tenerife is caused by the water being very hard which will then clog with calcium causing the boiler to overheat which can then cause leaks and ruptures. If you can catch the boiler before it reaches this stage then your water heater can be repaired usually by fitting a new element or trip switches. Water heater elements can be quite cheap and if the model is not to old can simply be replaced in a short space of time.
